SIX FEET UNDER reveals details for new album, ‘Torment’

SIX FEET UNDER have been one of the most important faces of the US Death Metal scene have yet again plunged into a new album titled- Torment. The band known for playing some bone crushing Death Metal that focuses more on blending the aggression with interesting Groove segments with tight rhythm sections and passages. On February 24th, Six Feet Under returns with their 12th studio album, Torment, and a new leap in intensity, set to release via Metal Blade Records.

The band has released a new single off the new album. The track called ‘Sacrificial Kill‘ proves to be one hell of a ride into their classic era with over two decades of their Death Metal experience! Chris Barnes‘s demonic vocals sound commanding. The razor sharp guitars put forth by Ray Suhy impale through the listeners with slow end transitions and occasional slam riffs in between the way it was meant to be. The drums propel the song with it’s pace that picks up during the middle of the song. Vocalist Chris Barnes says, “I’ve been lucky to have a lot of standout albums in my career. That’s only because I’ve had a great many talented writing partners and musicians to collaborate with. Our new album, ‘Torment‘, to me, is one of those albums. Jeff Hughell has provided the flammable material for me to write some explosive lyrics and vocal parts to. I know people always say, ‘this is my best album ever’, and I won’t say that, because everyone has their own favorites, but I do enjoy creating new music, and I feel as though with this one we expressed concisely and to the fullest the duality of our music.”
