German Symphonic Metal giants XANDRIA have unleashed upon another journey that has astounded listeners with their brand of music! Theater of Dimensions is the band’s newest outing that has amassed their musical ingredients portraying a new story and divulging a fresh concept.
The album sets off with the track ‘Where the heart is home’ that initiates with symphonic pomposity carrying a moody intro that progresses into eerie choral chants and splendid guitar work that sounds thunderous, complimented by an interesting drum pattern. It’s intriguing to see how the band has excelled in amalgamating these elements to create a vibrant song that grows on you. All throughout the album, the band has used massive orchestral work that has stood ground laying the foundation that rocks you out. The melodies have been written so beautifully that it unwraps eventually as each song evolves into something otherworldly. Theater of Dimensions is one of those albums that has surpassed the grandiosity of their previous releases like Neverworld’s End or even Ravenheart to name a few. I think it’s safe to say that.
That’s exactly what astonishes me about Symphonic Metal or any of the sub-genres that go down the line; the soul of the music is mirrored affluently; not to forget the artistic proficiency. Dianne has embraced her vocals. Her operatic passages are perfect! The track ‘We are murderers’ can be easily passed on as the heaviest track in the album. The track also features Björn Strid of Soilwork. The stunning drum pattern has elevated the track by a notch higher. The Folk elements in tracks like ‘Ce’ili’, ‘Burn Me’ are quite welcoming. It’s quite a brilliant transition during the latter half of this album.

Overall, it’s a perfect album in every department! The album is supported by flawless production, inter-dimensional symphonies, robust vocals and hard hitting dual guitars with sturdy drum work.
