Deccan Rock came into existence in 2009, as an annual International metal festival in India. In their debut act, Deccan Rock featured the almighty Amon Amarth and Textures as headliners along with Indian biggies Demonic Resurrection, Kryptos, Undying Inc, Bhayanak Maut, Inner Sanctum and Eccentric Pendulum.
The following edition in 2011 featured acts from 11 different countries. The third edition was followed with a multi-city edition across Hyderabad, Nashik, Mumbai and Kolkata in 2013, headlined by French metallers Hacride.
Deccan Rock has upped their game with their fourth edition coming around the corner this year. This time they will be featuring two international headliners, as well as five Indian acts. The announcements for this are yet to be made. This has indeed been a comeback edition and there is something more to it. This time Deccan Rock has decided to promote climate awareness and Global Warming issues. For the same, the festival seems to have tied up with various government bodies and NGOs. This concept has come up with a welcome sign. The band announcements are touted to go on floors from this weekend. Watch this space for more!
